Our Year 11s celebrated an outstanding set of GCSE resuls today. A great result for all their hard work during the summer term leading up to the public exams.
Headmaster Ed Wesson commented " GCSE results came out this morning with 62% of them graded at 9, 8 or 7. One of our student got a clean sweep of 9s and we will award 26 prizes on Skinners’ Day to those who achieved four 9s + four 8s, or better. We have an 'informal' Progress 8 score, which at 0.78 suggests the school is adding over three-quarters of a grade to each entry."
He went on to add " As is usually the case, almost all pupils will be staying at Skinners' for the Sixth Form. However, this year they will be joined by a number of girls as we embark on the process of making our Sixth Form co-educational.
Well done to all our Year 11 students on their hard work in gaining strong GCSE results!"
Many congratulations to all our students and we look forward to welcoming them back to the School in September to the Sixth Form.
